Qualifications and experience

Dr Irene Welford-Christie BVM&S MRCVS is a highly experienced Veterinary Surgeon, working in clinical veterinary practice since 1999. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Applied Animal Behaviour (Level 6) gained with distinction.

Irene is an Associate Member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC) as well as a Registered Veterinary Surgeon, which means that many pet insurance providers may contribute towards the cost of her consultations.

In line with APBC and Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CCAB) guidelines, all behavioural consultations are carried out on referral from your Veterinary Surgeon. Irene works closely alongside your vet to ensure a fully collaborative approach, supporting both you and your pet with a comprehensive understanding of their physical and behavioural wellbeing.
